Tips on Scientific Writing - Basics of Grammar and Scientific Language

In this workshop you will learn about scientific vocabulary and style. The workshop is aimed at students who have little experience in writing scientific texts and/or would like to deepen and expand their linguistic knowledge. You will learn the basics and criteria of scientific language as well as text modules and concrete formulation aids that you can apply to your own work.

Content:

  • What is "good" academic style? Introduction to the basics and criteria of academic language
  • Clarification of requirements regarding grammar, expression and language in scientific texts
  • Facilitation of text production through formulation aids
  • Tips for avoiding common mistakes
