Theyfollow a similar basic princi-pleof radiation transmissionwith specificsetups depending onthe measuring taskat hand. De-tector signalsare evaluated regarding relative radiation transmission, which is well-knownto followBeerâs law of exponential attenuation.Note here, particular conditions regarding radia-tion (energyand beam geometry) and material properties (consistent and homogeneous) are expected. These conditions, however, cannot be consistently achieved in applied radiometric in-vestigationson WBCs [...]","lang":"eng"},{"text":"AbstractXVIIprovided by the present thesis. The practicalim-plementation, however, must consequentlybe performed by the device manufactures. The us-ers of such modern X-raysystems are enabledto obtain enhanced quality of their measuring re-sults, which is relevant for both WBC science(wide range of partly new composites) and in-dustry (increasing requirements on reliability and accuracy).Eventually, the properapplication of capable nondestructive evaluation methods by valid and precise measuring systems for moni-toring and controllingquality and processparam-etersin WBC production offersthe possibility ofachievingsavings in raw materials and energy consumption as well as fundamental ap-proaches forimprovingWBC production, thus,to optimise processconditionsand materialprop-ertiesin general.\r\nKurzfassungDie industrielle Produktion von plattenförmigen Holzwerkstoffen (HWS) wirdmaĂgeblich durchdie Kernprozessein der Form-und Pressen-straĂebestimmt.
